His head was hurt and there was blood over his entire face. His clothes were soaked in blood. He was not able to walk. Three of his friends/colleagues were helping him walk along. Everyone turned around to look at him and pitied.
Loss of dignity, more than the accident or the blood from it bothered me the most. What would he say when his kid asks him, "Daddy how did this happen?". How would some of his friends and juniors feel when they see him so helpless? Will he able to look into his mother's in eyes in such a state?
Booze... Say aye or say nay? ...
Its a personal choice, true, but not all effects from it are different for different individuals

First Autographs
Aviation day celebration at Nehru Science Centre, Worli --> was given a 1 hour slot in the morning 3 hrs slot for IIT Bombay --> showed a ppt of some awesome avaition pics with some trivia and GK on Aircrafts ---> this was followed by paper plane making workshop --> Kids just loved it!!
The day was going all fine and it felt like a good Udaan visit. The only difference being, there were kids from about 40-45 different schools. I have been to three Udaan visits before and was also there for the Aeroventure- summer camp for school kids, at IITB. Four of us, from four different batches and all of us good friends; Me(5th year), Saptarshi(4th year), Manas(3rd year) and Chandrika(2nd year). Two School girls walked to us and started demanding our autographs. The remaining three gave it with any hestitation, but I was stumped!
"Please give me your autograph"
"hey... I am also a student just like you guys, why would you want my autographs?"
"because you are an Aerospace Engg. Please......"
"hmm... but..."
"Common... pleasee..."
"Okay, but on one condition"
"kya?"
"you should also give me your autographs"
"arre.. what great thing have we done.."
"Now, I want to keep your autographs too because who knows you will also become Aero Engg. someday"
"Alright"
After this breif exchange, I signed an autograph first time ever in my life. After a long time, it felt like ..
"aaii saala, abhi abhi, hua yakeen... ke baat hai... mujhme kahin.... "
:)
P.S.

The begining of Spirals
It starts as a dot and as the time passes by it grows, into some shape, but I see it as a spiral. Many a spirals may end so short as to be hardly noticeable. But there are ones which will actually make your mundane the most coveted one. Call the dot an idea, and its growth and death are easy to guess. How simplistic! Ditch it!
Marquez in his "Living to tell the tale", at one point becomes desperate to recollect somethings and regrets having not written about it at that point of time in life. I think, many a simple things which feel awesome at this point of time can be forgotten, which I am strongly unwilling to and determined not to play Marquez with them, atleast for the time being. That is what gets me to blog it.
As my exploits for the year 2009 unfold, I promise you some .... hmm... well.. I don't know as of now... say some novel experiences....
Coming up next...
1) First Autographs
2) The blood-bathed drunkard
3) Random Lecture of an unknown student
4) Car vs Craft
5) Its not about running (:P)
6) A mid-winters evening's dream
7) Plagiarism
These and many other dots will be seen here till the time I passout,(say mid-June) from IITB that is; when I shall stop blogging, to start spiralling around them.... (and you thought I shall ditch my very first spiral (the concept of spiral for a blog) so easily :P)
Cheers,
Mallesh
